20 years long residence permits those who have remained in the UK for over 20 years to remain in the UK with discretionary leave free from travel or employment restrictions. The long residence is a step towards British Citizenship.
To be eligible you must meet several requirements :
• You must have spent 20 years living in the UK both continuously (without imprisonment)
• This 20 years cannot be broken by any form of absence including ( either 180 days at a time or 540 days in total)
